Civic Participation
A strong, inclusive, democratic society needs individuals who actively participate in their communities. That’s why the Gay & Lesbian Fund supports civic education, leadership development, community activism, and advocacy.
The story above focuses on the Colorado Council of Churches, one of our 2009 Civic Participation grantees whose work is dedicated to civic education and policy advocacy. The Council consists of more than a dozen member denominations that value diversity, and strive for unity and justice.
