Nonprofits are an essential part of the fabric of our society. They respond to human beings in need; nourish and enrich our minds; and protect our most basic civil and legal rights as citizens of Colorado. For 15 years, the Gay & Lesbian Fund has worked with hundreds of nonprofits throughout the state to provide them with the resources they need to thrive.
Over the years, we have invested over $24.8 million in high-impact nonprofits that better the quality of life for all Coloradans by providing important arts and culture, civic participation, healthy families, and public broadcasting programs. These nonprofits are on the front lines providing important services to our state’s population. All of the organizations that we support understand the value of inclusion and promote issues of equality within the organization’s circle of influence.
We provide more than just grants:
- We host workshops and training;
- Offer free meeting space in our Colorado Springs facility;
- Participate in public events;
- Conduct educational outreach to diverse audiences through our speakers bureau; and
- Serve as a community liaison to other resources.
